Who doesn’t enjoy a good meal, especially a free good meal? Lunchtime in the workplace can often be filled with leftovers, fast food runs, and vending machine snacks. "Many studies show that eating healthier foods leads to more activity, more concentration, more energy and better overall health," says Glassdoor spokesman Scott Dobroski. Glassdoor, a company which gives you an inside look at jobs and businesses, has researched and listed the top 10 companies offering the best food’s for employees.

The extra time employees spend running around on lunch breaks, could be used to converse with co-workers about business, and build interpersonal relationships. A free meal every once in awhile could provide workers with a more cheerful attitude, which directly relates to their work productivity. The average employee morale on a scale of 1-5 is 3.1, and the top best companies for food averaged a 3.7.

Employee morale plays an important part in corporate wellness, and providing staff with a healthy lunch can wreak all the benefits discussed above. In time these lunches can teach companies about nutritional foods that can be eaten outside of the workplace. The goal is taking healthy ideas and uniquely using them towards total employee wellness.
